Exceptional Translation of Hasbro Values!

It's an probable hazard of having children and wanting to play classic games. We have several game boxes in our closet that are unplayable since of missing pieces, not to mention the precious closet space they inhabit. That's never a problem with "Hasbro Family Game Night". You'll never lose the game pieces and the Wii boundary is exceptionally simple for all members of the family.
Not anything fancy here, just the values like Boggle, Battleship, Yahtze, Join Four, and Sorry! It's a excellent mix of games with a variety of skill sets for the entire family.
The games play like the ordinary non-electronic games, but also incorporate a number of fascinating variations of the ordinary games.
We also delight in having Mr Potato Head ration as the Master-of-Ceremonies, though we wish he spoke more. He does not say much, but DOES celebrate or shake his head sadly depending on your performance.
The graphics are not remarkable, but are crisp, clean, and well-rendered. The user-boundary is well-designed, with a few flaws here and there where you may trip over your fingers. This game does NOT represent an innovative use of the Wii controller, though it IS a nice touch to shake the Wii-mote to shake the dice cup. Overall, no major complaints and we are enjoying the game. Probably should be listed at a lower price than $36, but cheaper than buying each of the individual games. This game makes a excellent edition to your Wii library as a game that doesn't take videogame before a live audience skill. If you can play, the physical versions of these games, you will have no problem with the electronic edition.
As with the original versions, these are more fun when played in a group, but they also work well in one-player mode. Highly Recommended! |
Not Perfect But Definately A Pet!

Hasbro's family game night is a fun twist on well loved board games and you don't have any pieces to lose!
Our pet games were definately Battleship and Boggle and with an age range between 9 - 53 years in our household it was loved by all. My spouse and youngest daughter loved battleship and found the variations to the fixed game a lot more fun.
The controls are simple to use for children and not intricate in any way. Boggle can get a small confusing when you have 4 people all trying to highlight letters but I reckon that added to the fun of it all.
Join Four was a small dull, but it's not really a game I like to play much off the wii.
We couldn't figure out Sorry, but we were having so much fun with Boggle and Battleship we didn't really care and I'm sure if we uneasy to read the booklet that came with the game we'd figure it out quickly enough.
Overall I'd give the game a 9 out of 10 simply for Battleship and Boggle. |
Fantastic for all ages.

I have found this game to be more fun than the board games, since there are more facial appearance and play modes than on the traditional board games.
After a seven hour lengthy with a friend before a live audience Yahtzee, we realized we were addicted. Fun twists on the Battleship like super weapons & Salvo (which lets you have a hit for every ship you have left on the board.) Join 4 has Super Chips that have special options, and
Sliders is a fun stress reliever.
Also has fun competitive modes for parties, where you have to do small tasks (like roll a certain dice or shoot the pawn at a certain speed.)
I would highly recommend this game for adults & families.
In rejoinder to the reviewer who said their kids were bored after 30 minutes--that is the normal attention span for their age. Hopefully you were before a live audience the games with them since 6 is a bit young to play the board versions and they would naturally get frustrated for not having the cognitive skill set to fully play the games. |
Fun!

This is a fantastic game to have for the family!
My son and I like to play board games, but can seldom get the other two people in our family to play. Then there's the issue of missing pieces, or needing to stop before a live audience for a while for whatever reason. Having the game on the Wii neatly takes care of all those issues. The added attraction of screening it all on a 60 inch TV doesn't hurt either.
The prizes and trophies are a really nice touch too. Although we want to be able to see the prizes better, it's still clean to be able to look around our "room" and see all.
Probably the best thing about it is that in addition to the ordinary translation of the game, there's an well ahead translation offered AND a customizable translation. This enticed our other two family members out and we very quickly ramped up Sorry Sliders (a game we'd never played before) to the toughest settings we could come up with with and had a wonderful time argumentative about our terrible luck on our turns!
I don't care much for before a live audience it all by myself. But I can see my son doing so in order to get all the prizes and trophies available. We do have a reall fantastic time before a live audience it together. It's so rare that we get to play a game with more than just the two of us, that the computer players are a real treat.
I'm hoping they come out with more classic games ported over to Wii in the future. |
